Abri was diagnosed with bone cancer in her left leg at age 7 and put in a wheelchair. She went through a year of chemo treatment and had a limb salvage surgery that failed and left her still unable to walk. At age 9 Abri fought to amputate her leg so she could get back to living her life on her own terms. After a 10 1/2 hour surgery and 4 months of recovery she finally got back up on two feet and has been going non stop ever since. Abri is now back to walking, running, hiking, dancing, riding a bike and just being a kid. Abri is very proud of all she was gone through and fought for and doesn’t see her amputation as a disability. She tells everyone “I’m not disabled, I’m enhanced!”
